Denver Broncos 7-round mock draft after polarizing uniform reveal
145th Overall Pick - Jared Wiley, TE, TCU
It's hard to envision the Denver Broncos not taking a tight end during the 2024 NFL Draft, as Adam Trautman is not a receiving threat and Greg Dulcich cannot stay healthy. I was a bit confused as to why Denver did not address the unit during free agency, but perhaps the team has a strong desire to address it during the NFL Draft, and this tight end class actually seems quite deep.
147th Overall Pick - Matt Goncalves, OT, Pittsburgh
Both Garett Bolles and Mike McGlinchey will not be in Denver forever, and the last tackle prospect they drafted was Bolles back in 2017. The Denver Broncos are way overdue for bringing in a rookie tackle prospect from the NFL Draft, and OL coach Zach Strief could work with Matt Goncalves behind the scenes until he's ready to perhaps take over a starting role.
203rd Overall Pick - Gabe Hall, DT, Baylor
It's never a bad idea to double-down in the trenches. It's how games in the NFL are won outside of the quarterback situation. Three of the last four picks for the Broncos in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft address the trenches. Sean Payton has also historically put an emphasis on drafting the OL and DL, so this would not at all be a surprise based on his draft history with the New Orleans Saints.
