Malik Reed, Outside Linebacker, Pittsburgh Steelers

I was not a big proponent of the Broncos trading Malik Reed as the chatter for that idea began to grow but the team finally chose to make the move just before the regular season started when it became obvious they just didn't have a spot for him on the roster.

In exchange, the Broncos received a sixth-round pick from the Pittsburgh Steelers for Reed and a seventh-round choice in the 2023 draft.

The Broncos gave away a player who racked up 15 sacks in three seasons with the team after signing as an undrafted free agent. The Steelers appeared to be getting one of the league's better under-the-radar pass rushers.

But Reed made just one sack in a Steelers uniform while being on the field for just 37.2 percent of the team's defensive snaps.

Reed will now be an unrestricted free agent, free to sign anywhere he would like but there is no doubt that the 2022 season brought his potential value on the open market down.
