2. Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are one of the 419 teams this year in the NFL to have called on backup QBs. Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles early in the season, which is a shame, as he was on pace to have a huge year and perhaps even get into the MVP conversation.

Cousins is a free agent at the end of the year and would be entering his age-36 season in 2024. He came from the same 2012 draft class as Russell Wilson and is obviously entering the final years of his career. At some point, the Vikings are going to need to look at a younger QB, and 2024 could be their year. They have lost three games in a row and are currently picking 12th in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Minnesota could easily make a trade up the draft board inside the top-10 to try and land their potential franchise QB. And with Denver currently picking behind the Vikings, Denver might have to find a way to ensure Minnesota does not get in their way. For what it's worth, too, the Vikings' coaching staff has some former Broncos coaches, so there could be some added incentive.
