2. Dan Arnold, Jacksonville Jaguars

Dan Arnold of the Jacksonville Jaguars is a free agent in the 2023 offseason, and you're never going to guess who he started off his NFL career with, once upon a time.

If you guessed the New Orleans Saints and Sean Payton, you are the winner of today's grand prize -- one virtual pat on the back. After floating up and down on the Saints' practice squad from 2017-19, Arnold got his first real shot at extensive action with the Arizona Cardinals in 2020.

Who would he have practiced against every day in Arizona? Oh that's right -- Vance Joseph, the Denver Broncos defensive coordinator.

All kidding aside, there are significant connections for Dan Arnold currently in Denver. He's a big target at 6-foot-6 and certainly has shown some substantial upside in the past as a rotational player at the position. He also played a good amount of special teams last year for the Jaguars, around 30 percent of their snaps there, so he could contribute in that phase if need be.

Ultimately, this wouldn't be the most exciting potential pickup at the tight end position, but familiarity is often important when it comes to NFL Free Agency and Dan Arnold has plenty of that with the Denver coaching staff.
