The Denver Broncos, if not the best roster in the NFL, could have the second-best. It's not a stretch to think that Denver can win it all this year, but in today's NFL, Super Bowl windows shut as quickly as they open, so there isn't a guarantee of anything in 2026.
Fortunately, though, the Broncos are a well-built team and do appear to be in a position to sustain this success at a high level for the foreseeable future. With that said, there are other current juggernauts and others teams capable of winning it all.
The Broncos aren't the only ones and may see two Super Bowl-caliber teams in the first six weeks of the 2026 season. In Week 3, though, the Broncos will get to see Aaron Donald and his much-anticipated NFL return.

Not sure if you heard, but Donald is back in the NFL, and he signed a one-year deal to return to the Los Angeles Rams, the team he's spent his entire career with. The deal is actually worth $20 million and can be worth up to $30 million, so Donald absolutely got high-end starter money.
His last year in the NFL was the 2023 season. He finished that campaign with eight sacks, 53 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and 23 quarterback hits in 81 percent of the defensive snaps. Taking a peek at the Rams' depth chart as ourlads has it, and it's quite the unit...
Donald, Poona Ford, Kobie Turner, Byron Young, and Myles Garrett make up the starting defensive line and outside linebackers. Young and Garrett form one of the best pass-rush duos in the NFL, perhaps the best, and the projected interior of Donald, Ford, and Turner is no worse than top-3.
To say this is going to be a tall task for Denver is an understatement, but fortunately, Denver's offensive line is the best in the league right now, so there also isn't a better unit on the other side of the ball to match up with what the Rams have.
The one good thing here is that the Broncos get the Rams early in the season - so there is a chance that Donald isn't fully back up to NFL speed and doesn't play a huge snap share. The Broncos also do get this game at home, which is another advantage.
When September 27th rolls around, many across the league will be talking about this matchup as being a potential Super Bowl LXI preview. Both Denver and LA fell in the conference championship games last year, but both teams made moves that can clearly get them over that hump and into the big game.
