The Denver Broncos have won three of their past four games and are now 3-2 on the season. After a very ugly win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5, all this team now has to do is embark on a short week and play the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football.
Thus far, I suppose you could fairly say that it's not a massive shock that Denver is 3-2, as the schedule has been brutal thus far and is only now just going to soften up following Week 6.
Before we officially get into Week 6, let's dive into a quick news roundup
Denver Broncos news roundup following Week 5
Sean Payton wants Bo Nix to 'let it rip'
Following Week 5, Sean Payton, in his postgame media availability, told the media that he wants quarterback Bo Nix to let it rip:

And that has quickly become a point of discussion among Broncos Country. It's clear that, for whatever reason, Nix just isn't pulling the trigger on many of those open receivers down the field, but he's not exactly being given good protection, and the run game has been straight-up bad this year.
With that said, Payton very plainly saying this is a pretty notable statement, and it's not like we haven't seen Nix take these shots before. As recently as 3-4 weeks ago against Jacksonville and Los Angeles, we saw Nix pushing the ball down the field...
Broncos secondary is still banged up ahead of TNF
Both Riley Moss and Patrick Surtain II were either limited or did not participate in Monday's practice. The Broncos did not actually practice, so this was an estimation. Safety Talanoa Hufanga was a DNP as well with an ankle injury, suddenly testing the secondary depth even more.

If Hufanga, Moss, and Surtain can't go, we'd see a secondary comprised of Jahdae Barron, Kris Abrams-Draine, Ja'Quan McMillian, Brandon Jones, and Devon Key. It's certainly not ideal, and you'd hope that one of the injured three could find a way onto the field.
With Seattle sporting the best wide receiver in the sport in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the Broncos may have to take a committee approach to contain 'JSN' on Thursday.
Weather could begin to be a slight factor
The weather is definitely not ideal for TNF:

That ends Thursday. A chance for light rain as well, though it looks mainly pre-game.

The rain potential seems to be minmal, but there is a little bit of wind, and the temperature is going to fall quite a bit. This shouldn't have too big an impact on the game, but it's one of the first home games where the Broncos have to deal with notable weather in the regular season in quite some time.
