If nothing else.

The Denver Broncos saw their 11-game winning streak come to an end in Week 16 thanks to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The officiating was flat-out horrendous, but the Broncos shoot themselves in the foot too many times to count.

That was the main reason why Denver lost, as the Broncos' defense was flat-out awful, and the offense just could not get a ton going either. Jacksonville came into this game and really bullied the Broncos for all 60 minutes, which was impressive. And given how the game went, the Broncos are surely angry.

Well, if nothing else, the team can regroup and get back on the field in Week 17 to get that bad taste out of their mouths, as they play on Christmas Day against the Kansas City Chiefs, Before the season began, many fans probably had that game circled, but the Chiefs are 6-9 on the season and now down to their third-string quarterback.

The Kansas City Chiefs will be starting a third-string quarterback in Week 17

It sounds hard to believe, but the Chiefs just lost their top two quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Gardner Minshew to season-ending left ACL tears. Minshew tore his ACL in Week 16, a loss to the Tennessee Titans. Going forward for the final two games, the Chiefs will likely be starting third-string QB Chris Oladokun. He was 1/5 in 2024 and did go 11/16 for 111 yards in Week 16.

The Broncos are also not likely facing a Chiefs' team that is going to feel all that motivated, as they have had a season to forget and were eliminated from the playoffs weeks ago. Denver is now 12-3 on the season and have now lost their first game since September.

A few weeks ago, Denver held the fort down at home and beat the Chiefs on a walk-off field goal. The circumstances are a lot different now. The Broncos aren't going to be playing a very good team at all - it should be a blowout win.

This could be a logical 'get-right' game for the Denver Broncos, as they got a taste of what they were doing to opponents for 11 games in a row, so they surely want to get this bad taste out of their mouths. It will be a quick turnaround for the Denver Broncos, but that is probably not a bad thing for this team at this point in time.
