Three moves Broncos should focus on in free agency

Keeping the elite defense as together as possible

The Broncos don’t have a ton of defensive free agents, but two of note, who had excellent seasons are Alex Singleton and Dre’Mont Jones.  Singleton was a tacking machine in 2023 and got a ton of run when Jonas Griffith went down.

Dre’Mont Jones might be one of the best interior pass rushers in the NFL, and he should be a top priority for the team, regardless of position.

To a lesser extent, I’d also love to see them bring back guys like PJ Locke, DeShawn Williams, and Jonas Griffith.

None of those guys are players who need immediate attention as free agents, but they all contributed in some way to one of the league’s best units in 2022.  I do think with the possibility that Ejiro Evero leaves, the Broncos should keep that unit as familiar with each other as possible, so trying to bring the gang back would be a smart idea in my opinion.

With the Chiefs not going anywhere, the Raiders likely bringing in a new quarterback, and the Chargers getting a legitimate offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore, the AFC West might actually have three stellar offenses.

The Broncos should ensure their defense is elite once again to help limit those offenses.
