The Denver Broncos might have a few things they need to get sorted on their roster before the beginning of the 2022 season.  Their first two preseason games have revealed some positive and negative things about their overall roster situation.  Competitions for starting positions are still going on, and likely might not be settled until the final preseason game and practices.

Even though the Denver Broncos are a Super Bowl contending team who is likely to win a ton of games this season, they still have some things they need to sort out on their roster.  Most, if not all teams have to do this, so the Broncos aren’t at some weird disadvantage because of this.

They also have quite a few position battles that need to be settled.  So, what are a few important questions that the team must answer before the beginning of the 2022 season?

Find some clarity at right tackle for 2022

Right now, Calvin Anderson is the team’s right tackle, but that’s basically by default.  Billy Turner recently came off the PUP list but hasn’t practiced, and I’m not sure anyone knows where Tom Compton has been.

The team signed Cameron Fleming to compete for the job, but he was in the same boat last year and wasn’t able to win the job, so he likely isn’t a big threat to do that this year.  I’m not the highest on Calvin Anderson, and I’d think as soon as Turner can consistently practice, he’d slide into the starting job.

Turner can play multiple positions and excels at right tackle.  He should be able to easily pass Anderson on the depth chart at some point, and I’d trust him more to shut down opposing pass rushers when the season begins.
