Who are the top 5 Denver Broncos players in the Madden 23 video game? Let’s take a dive into the ratings…

EA has revealed every player rating for the upcoming video game Madden 23. The Denver Broncos were given an overall rating of 84 as a team. The ratings include offense (Denver was rated 78), the defense was given an 84, and Special Teams was graded at an 81.

Overall, the Broncos came in 13th among all 32 NFL teams. Their offensive rating ranks 11th, defense 21st and special teams 8th.

Do any of those group ratings stand out to you? I’m surprised that the defense is ranked so low, personally. Oh well, this must just be yet another prove-it year…

Whatever the reason for the low rating, the Broncos are expected to be a Super Bowl contender.

Let’s get into the details of the top-5 rated Denver Broncos starting from the number one player to number five…

Number one should not come as much of a surprise, but the fact that it isn’t Russell Wilson is disappointing.

#1 Denver Broncos player in Madden 23: Safety Justin Simmons, 91 overall

The Madden rating adjusters did Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons right this year. He is the second-highest rated free safety in the ‘23 version of the video game.

Simmons hasn’t been the fastest player on the field, and he was given a speed rating of 89. Despite this, he has a strong ability to shut down opposing receivers.

The rating that I was most interested in finding out is Simmons’ jumping rating. Watching him on the field, there is no doubt that he’s extremely athletic. With that, EA rewarded him with a jump rating of 96. Simmons has an incredible ability of jumping routes and picking off passes.

Simmons has been the heart and soul of the Broncos’ defense for a number of years now. He has been the leader of the team and I fully expect that his play on the field will only increase with the different scenarios he and the team will likely face going forward.

What I mean by that is, I expect the Broncos to be ahead in games quite often, resulting in the potential of other teams throwing at Simmons and increasing the chance of interceptions or other big plays.

Simmons does not get a superstar nor X-Factor ability, as far as I know. That is blasphemy as far as I’m concerned.
