Madden 23 ratings continue to drop and Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons has received some respect by EA.

The Madden rating adjusters did Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons right this year. He is the second-highest rated free safety in the ‘23 version of the video game.

Simmons hasn’t been the fastest player on the field, and he was given a speed rating of 89. Despite this, he has a strong ability to shut down opposing receivers.

The Madden 23 rating that I was most interested in finding out is Simmons’ jumping rating. Watching him on the field, there is no doubt that he’s extremely athletic.

With that, EA rewarded him with a jump rating of 96. Simmons has an incredible ability of jumping routes and picking off passes.

Simmons has been the heart and soul of the Broncos’ defense for a number of years now. He has been the leader of the team and I fully expect that his play on the field will only increase with the different scenarios he and the team will likely face going forward.

What I mean by that is, I expect the Denver Broncos to be ahead in games quite often, resulting in the potential of other teams throwing at Simmons and increasing the chance of interceptions or other big plays.

His coverage ratings are a little bit disappointing: He was given a man coverage rating of 79 (16th among all safeties) and a zone coverage rating of 89 (8th among all safeties).

Oftentimes in Madden, everybody likes to pick one player to use on the defensive side of the ball. They call that their “user” which makes sense. That player is usually a faster player because speed kills in this video game.

The good thing about Madden is that in franchise mode, players can receive upgrades if they perform well the previous week (in the game).

Simmons should be a reliable user in Madden 23 this year with a strong chance of speed upgrades.
