Broncos training camp storylines: Where do the rookies fit in?

As with any training camp, fans are going to want to check in on the fresh faces on the roster, those who were selected in the NFL draft. Though the Broncos did not have a first-round pick this year, there are still some rookies who will have highly-anticipated debuts in blue and orange.

Second-round selection Nik Bonitto will be expected to make a quick impact as an edge rusher but perhaps the rookie who will get a chance to get involved the quickest will be third-round pick Greg Dulcich, a tight end out of UCLA.

The Broncos do have Albert Okwuegbunam but the Broncos can be expected to employ two pass-catching tight ends often this season and they are players that Wilson will likely look to often.

If Dulcich can come in and stretch the field and open things up even more for the team’s solid wide receivers, this pick is going to pay off in a big way.

Eyioma Uwazurike, Demarri Mathis and Montrell Washington are all rookies to keep an eye on as well. Uwazurike and Mathis could prove to be great picks for the slots they were taken in and Washington should get an opportunity to be the team’s new kick return specialist.
