What to root for at Denver Broncos camp: The young EDGE guys showing out

One thing you certainly love to see every time training camp rolls around?

Pass rushers drawing the attention of those in attendance.

Of course, this comes at the expense of someone playing the offensive tackle position as well, but I think one of the things you want to see the most at training camp for the Denver Broncos in 2022 is the young group of pass rushers really showing out.

With Randy Gregory out and being limited through camp due to a shoulder surgery earlier this offseason, opportunity abounds for players like Baron Browning and the team’s top pick in 2022, Nik Bonitto.

For Baron Browning, the recovery process for Randy Gregory could be the opportunity he needs to really vault his career.

Browning is moving to the edge after playing the off-ball linebacker position in 2021, and I think everyone is intrigued, at the very least.

Seeing Browning in person off the edge is going to turn a lot of skeptics into believers and watching what he does with the opportunity to rotate in with the top defense will be fascinating.

The Broncos are. going to need Browning to step up this year, and they’re obviously expecting rookie Nik Bonitto to play a role as well.

Although Bonitto will just be getting his NFL feet wet and we expect some rookie struggles, we also want to see reports of him blowing by offensive linemen with his unreal first step.

Bonitto was one of the best pass rushers in college football over the last couple of years and he has a chance to be a highly impactful rotational piece in year one of his NFL career.
