The Denver Broncos didn’t have a first-round pick, but they have some mid-to-late-round picks that could turn some heads at training camp.

It’s understandable that the Denver Broncos’ top two picks in the 2022 NFL Draft — pass rusher Nik Bonitto and tight end Greg Dulcich — are getting all of the hype from this rookie class.

The Broncos didn’t have a first-round pick, and playing time for rookies is going to be hard to come by anyway.

With that being said, some other rookies on this roster are bound to get some big publicity in the coming weeks with training camp and preseason games now on the very near horizon.

Which rookies right now are not being talked about enough for the Denver Broncos?

Denver Broncos underrated rookie no. 3: Eyioma Uwazurike, DL (4th round)

Fourth-round pick Eyioma Uwazurike is one Denver Broncos rookie that should be getting a lot more hype right now.

The Broncos’ starting three defensive linemen — assuming they run a base 3-4 in the traditional alignment — will be Dre’Mont Jones, DJ Jones, and Mike Purcell.

It doesn’t appear as though a starting job is currently up for grabs, but that doesn’t mean that a significant amount of snaps aren’t available for the taking.

Uwazurike is one of a few guys currently on this Denver Broncos roster that has a shot to play extensive snaps with his ability to play both the run and rush the quarterback.

Over the last two seasons at Iowa State, Uwazurike had 20 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. His 6-foot-6, 320-pound frame is reminiscent of former Chicago Bears (and current Buccaneers) defensive lineman Akiem Hicks.

Uwazurike’s positional versatility makes him a fascinating option to rotate in early and often as a rookie.
