Ranking the best Broncos players 25 years old or younger
Jerry Jeudy- Denver Broncos wide receiver
Though I have not been the biggest fan of Jerry Jeudy in his young career with the team, his talent is obvious.
The Broncos used their first-round pick in the 2020 draft to select Jeudy and he has failed to live up to that billing. I am only willing to put part of that on the quarterbacks he has played with.
He has missed time due to injury while also struggling with dropped passes, but with the right guy, he could be a star. The right guy is Wilson and there is no reason to think that Jeudy won’t break out in 2022.
Jeudy has caught 90 passes in his first two seasons, so his numbers aren’t horrible, but he needs to come up big when the team needs him and he certainly needs to find the end zone, something he didn’t do a single time in 2021.
If you look at the career of Tyler Lockett in Seattle, his career trajectory would be similar if Jeudy can take off this season. Lockett caught 92 passes in his first two seasons in the league and only scored one touchdown in his second season.
But by 2019 he caught 82 passes and then had a 100-catch season in 2020. There is no doubt that Wilson can do the same with Jeudy, who is still just 23 years old.
