No. 1: Peyton Manning, 2012

Passing yards: 4,659

Touchdowns: 37

There is no question who would be number one on this list, but Manning’s accomplishments in 2012 are all the more impressive when you consider that he missed the entire 2011 season following neck surgery.

He came to the Broncos as a free agent that season and had to face many questions about whether or not he could still play. He proved that he could in a resounding fashion.

This is also the only season on this list that resulted in the Broncos making the playoffs. His 4,659 yards and 37 touchdowns that season both rank third on the team’s all-time list for a single season. Manning also holds the top two spots in both categories.

From the season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was clear that Broncos’ history was going to change forever. That will be the hope with Wilson coming around and I have already discussed the similarities between the first seasons in Denver for each quarterback.

Can Wilson reach these kinds of numbers in 2022 and where will his season rank on this list?
