Following the release of the 2022 NFL schedule, speculation can begin to run rampant and bold predictions will be everywhere.

For the Denver Broncos, excitement will be prevalent as fans can begin to start mapping out how this season will go under the lead of new quarterback Russell Wilson.

Playing in the AFC West, the Broncos are going to have a difficult road this season but many still see them as a playoff team, capable of snapping an ugly stretch of six straight seasons without playing in the postseason.

The Broncos have some tough games on the schedule but looking at the full 17-game slate, which games jump out as the most intriguing?

These five games will all have plenty of interesting storylines attached and they should also be a good barometer of just how good this Broncos team will be this season.

Week 1 at Seattle Seahawks

This one speaks for itself as far as intriguing goes and those that make the schedule clearly agreed, putting it in primetime to kick off the season. Recently, it was chosen as one of the best games of the 2022 season.

The storylines are endless as Wilson will return to Seattle to play in the place that he called home for a decade, taking the Seahawks to two Super Bowls and winning one of them. He will likely be welcomed back with open arms by the “12’s” in Seattle, the team’s raucous fanbase.

On the other side of the field (at least as it stands now), will be former Broncos quarterback Drew Lock. He and his Seahawks team will clearly be overshadowed by the return of Russell but Lock will likely have a massive chip on his shoulder, ready to prove something in that game.

Many (myself included) feel that Lock was never given a chance to be the quarterback he could have been in Denver. Of course, you would rather have Wilson than Lock, just like you would have rather had Peyton Manning than Tim Tebow, but Lock (and Tebow for that matter) were better than most ever gave them credit for.

The Broncos have the better quarterback and the superior roster so this is a game they should win. But can you imagine if Lock balls out on Monday Night Football and leads the Seahawks to a victory?
