Denver Broncos entering final season with team

3. KJ Hamler

I think this could be an underrated player who might be fighting for his long-term future with the Denver Broncos.

Drafted in 2020 out of Penn State, KJ Hamler’s claim to fame is his insane speed

He wasn’t all that effective during his rookie season, accumulating 381 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. He then tore his ACL early on in the 2021 season after catching 5 balls for 74 yards.

KJ Hamler needs to rebound in a big way in 2022 if the Denver Broncos should feel confident about his long-term future here.

He’s apparently confident he’s going to return in week one, which would be awesome.  When on the field, Hamler is the fastest person on it and can indeed take the top off of any unit.

Being that Russell Wilson loves throwing the deep ball and is good at it, you’d think that the potential Wilson/Hamler connection could be special.

If Hamler can’t produce in 2021, I don’t see why Denver would hold onto him.  At that point, he’d be taking up a roster spot.  Denver could also look to add to their receiver depth in the upcoming draft or even in free agency next season.
