Denver Broncos realistic targets with the 64th pick

3. Drake Jackson, EDGE, USC

Even with Randy Gregory and Bradley Chubb in the mix, don’t be surprised if the Denver Broncos make another commitment to an edge player.

Drake Jackson from USC could be that target.

The junior will be just 21 years old in nine days, so pegging him as a young, developmental prospect is smart.

He’s got prototypical size at 6’4″, 250 pounds, and is a very fluid player.

He’s not in the edge tier with the likes of Aidan Hutchinson, Jermaine Johnson, or Kayvon Thibodeaux, but he’s still seen as a solid prospect.

Reading into Jackson, the general consensus on him seems to be that he needs to simply get bigger and stronger.

Him perhaps playing at a lower weight could be a big reason why he’s such a strong athlete, but he’s a very young player and would probably get drafted into a situation where he wouldn’t have to start immediately.

With Gregory and Chubb in Denver, that could be the perfect solution.

With Chubb’s long-term outlook on the Broncos unknown, and Gregory’s ability to play a full season not there, Jackson could be someone who could serve as a strong developmental prospect and occasional spot starter for the Denver Broncos.
