Denver Broncos slot corner FA option #2: Chandon Sullivan, Packers

When you’re looking at free agency, you’ve always got to look at players with connections to the coaching staff.

Free agent cornerback Chandon Sullivan has plenty in Denver right now.

The Packers have some bigger fish to fry this offseason and Sullivan is almost certainly going to be hitting the open market.

He has put up some decent numbers since coming to the Packers from the Philadelphia Eagles where he got his feet wet in the NFL.

His snaps increased to over 800 this past season as the Packers had to deal with losing Jaire Alexander to injury, and he wound up picking off a career-high three passes.

Denver Broncos defensive backs coach Christian Parker came over from the Packers last year and already had time working with Sullivan when the two were together in Green Bay.

It would make sense for the Denver Broncos, now with even more former Packers assistant coaches on the staff, to bring in a player like Sullivan on a short-term deal to see if he can be a fit with Darby and Surtain as the starters in the secondary.
