Denver Broncos key stats vs. Chargers: Red Zone Efficiency

Throughout the 2021 season, the Denver Broncos have not been that great at scoring touchdowns in the red zone. Following the team’s win against the Chargers, they currently rank 26th in red zone scoring at 54.05 percent. To put that in context, the Kansas City Chiefs rank 16th in the league in that category at 59.52 percent, and the San Francisco 49ers lead the league at 77.42 percent.

Well, the Broncos did not disappoint on Sunday.

While they did only enter the red zone three times throughout the entire game, they converted those possessions into touchdowns all three times. In fact, not only did they get into the red zone, they were inside the 10-yard line every one of those trips.

I’ve said it on several occasions and I’ll say it again on this one: When the Denver Broncos figure out how to score points, everything just clicks. They were able to get the job done against the Chargers. Now they need to do the same thing against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Their key? Running the heck out of the football. They have two reliable running backs to get the job done.
