Denver Broncos: 3 Things to look for against Jaguars
3. Can Teddy Bridgewater Build on Week 1?
Teddy Bridgewater’s week 1 performance was nearly perfect. He completed over 77% of his passes and threw for 2 touchdowns against a very good Giants defense.
In order for the Broncos to remain competitive throughout the season, they need consistent performances from Teddy B.
They need the signal caller to play great against the bad teams, and at least manage games against the good teams.
The Jaguars are a bad team, and this is a game where Teddy Bridgewater needs to be at his best, not because he needs to for the Broncos to win, but because he’s supposed to.
It won’t be the end of the world if Bridgewater doesn’t have another stellar outing, but he’s yet to display consistent quarterback play throughout an entire season, so the pressure should be on him to do so.
The Denver Broncos also need to win their first three games at least, as the AFC West looks to be filled with good teams yet again, so the Broncos need that 3-0 cushion if they slip up when the schedule gets harder later in the season.
It’s no mystery the Broncos’ first three games are against bad teams, and the team needs to win all three, easily.
Teddy Bridgewater also needs to play like a franchise quarterback during these three games.
He’s already carved up the Giants defense, now he needs to do it against a bad Jaguars defense.
