The Denver Broncos have a huge matchup in week two against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Which players need to step up big in this game?

The Denver Broncos are feeling good after starting the season 1-0 with a road victory against the New York Giants. The goal now is to return home for a week three matchup with the New York Jets with a 2-0 record after playing the Jacksonville Jaguars this coming weekend.

Although nothing should be overly shocking in week one, it was definitely a surprise to see the Jaguars get absolutely hammered by the Houston Texans after the disastrous offseason the Texans have had.

Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence had one of his toughest days as a QB at any level, throwing three interceptions in the loss.

The Jaguars, let’s make no bones about it, are one of the worst teams in the NFL right now. As talented as Lawrence is and as talented as some other areas of their team are (notably receiver and cornerback), the Jaguars are in year one of a rebuild with Urban Meyer as the team’s head coach and they have a long way to go.

The Denver Broncos have a coaching staff in year three together for the most part, year two at worst for some, and they have been rebuilding for the better part of the last four years.

It would be extremely disappointing, even given the fact that anything can happen on any given Sunday, to return to Denver with a 1-1 record after the weekend.

Injuries in week one’s victory over the Giants could loom large over the game against the Jaguars, but week two might also mark the return of pass rusher Bradley Chubb, who was held out of last Sunday’s game with an ankle injury.
