Former Denver Broncos players who should pull a Tim Tebow

1. Aqib Talib…as a wide receiver

Cornerback Aqib Talib played with the Denver Broncos from 2013-2017. In his four years with the Broncos, Talib was not only a member of the legendary No Fly Zone,  but he may have been the leader of this daunting group.

With his time with the Broncos, Talib collected 48 pass deflections and 11 interceptions. What impressed me the most during Talib’s time in the Mile High City was his knack for the end zone.

Crossing the pylon six times as a Bronco, and 10 times in his career, it is in my belief that Talib would make a fine wide receiver.

Plays that I still remember to this day were Talib’s interception returns against the Cleveland Browns and the Dallas Cowboys. Sprinting down the sidelines, Talib outraced the entire Cowboys offense for a 103-yard touchdown and held off speedster, Travis Benjamin, on his way to the endzone.

Not only did Talib possess the ability to score touchdowns like a wide receiver, but he also brought the dog mentality as well; ask Micheal Crabtree. From chain-snatching to just about blatantly admitting to setting the tone early in Super Bowl 50 with a facemask on Corey “Philly” Brown, Talib was always the aggressor.

Out of his 35 total interceptions in his career, Talib had 752 return yards, averaging around 21.5 yards per. Wouldnt you love to have a wide receiver who averaged over 20 yards a reception on the outside?

Tacking on another 125 pass deflections, Talib had an obvious knack for the football. As a former all-pro in 2016, Talib brought the talent, attitude, and push that you want on any side of the ball.

His ability to find the end zone would have been fun to see on a bubble screen, he did run a low 4.4 in his 40 yard dash. Maybe, former teammate, Demaryius Thomas could show him the ropes…
