Denver Broncos general manager George Paton has made several key moves, both new additions and re-signing key players to new deals during the NFL free agency period. The moves made by Paton benefitted three players the most.

The Denver Broncos’ plan for the 2021 offseason was a mystery due to the new addition of general manager George Paton and the secure nature in which the front office has worked together thus far.

The Broncos have been phenomenal this offseason as they have made intentional moves to bring back key players while bringing in new talent; all while remaining in strong salary cap positioning.

The moves were created to improve an inconsistent and last-place team at the end of the 2020 season.

On top of inconsistencies, injuries and opt-outs cost many key contributors significant portions of last season, creating issues on both sides of the ball.

Paton was able to ink cornerstone Justin Simmons to a deal-making him the league’s highest-paid safety.

Von Miller was retained and should provide the team with elite play once again.

Additionally, Paton brought back Shelby Harris on a fair contract while locking up Kareem Jackson after declining his option before the free agency for one season on a team-friendly deal.

As the NFL League Year began, the Broncos added to their cornerback room with the additions of Kyle Fuller and Ronald Darby while also bringing in running back Mike Boone.

Let’s take a look at the players who have benefitted most with the moves the Denver Broncos have made so far.
