Is Von Miller Returning to the Denver Broncos? Denver Broncos’ new general manager George Paton suggests Miller might be during his press conference.

The clock is ticking for general manager George Paton and the Broncos to make a decision on whether franchise icon Von Miller returns. Paton must decide by March 16 to exercise Miller’s option for $7 million for the final season of his mega-deal beginning in 2016. Miller is owed $18million this season, per Spotrac, and the Broncos must decide soon on whether they need to put skin in the game to keep him this season.

The decision on Miller is the biggest domino for Paton and the Broncos as the impact of this move will cascade throughout the team’s plans in 2021. If Miller leaves the team has a ginormous hole, but major cap relief.

The decision on Miller’s future is one of the “to-dos” facing Paton in his first year as an NFL general manager.

During his first conference as the general manager of the Denver Broncos, he indicated that Miller could be back, but was not definitive.

There are pros and cons to any player staying, but Miller’s is a bit more complicated. There are arguments to be made that Miller should stay and or go before his contract expires at the end of the 2021 season.
