1. Justin Simmons, Safety

Justin Simmons just played on the franchise tag and had another great season, leading the team with five interceptions. He has turned into one of the leaders on the team and is clearly one of the best young safeties in the NFL.

It is not going to be cheap to retain Simmons, but the Broncos need to ensure that it happens because one of these other teams with a ton of cap space available will be more than happy to outbid the Broncos and take him away.

Paton can not allow that to happen and as soon as a deal can be reached, that needs to happen.

Simmons plays the ball well and has gotten better in each of his seasons in the league. Though he still doesn’t get the attention he deserves on a national scale, Broncos Country can see that he can join an already outstanding list of great safeties in team history.
