Matchups: Young Bronco receivers versus Chris Harris Jr.

Chris Harris Jr. played nine years for the Denver Broncos and was a huge part of the No-Fly-Zone that led to the team’s victory in Super Bowl 50.

Harris is in his first season with the Chargers and has struggled to gain traction in being the same defender he was in Denver.

That said, Harris is going to be motivated to play his first game against the Broncos, as he missed the teams’ first matchup.

Harris showed last week he is capable of making big-plays and will look to do that again this week against a young receiving corps.

The Broncos have a plethora of young talent on offense. That young talent has shown flashes of brilliance but also struggled to be consistent.

For the Broncos to win, Tim Patrick, Jerry Jeudy, and K.J. Hamler will need to recreate some of the magic from the team’s first matchup to help get a win Sunday.

Whoever lines up in the slot, Hamler of Jeudy most likely will need to create separation against one of the greatest slot defenders in today’s modern NFL history.

If they cannot get open in the slot, they need to draw the eyes of Harris away from the play to limit his ability to make a play on the ball.

Hamler and Jeudy working in unison as they did in the previous matchup, can help to create big plays all over the field. The Chargers defense can make a big-play but will give up their fair share.

Look for Hamler and Jeudy to be big contributors to help the Broncos’ offense get going. The young group of receivers helped lead one of the best Bronco wins since that Super Bowl 50 victory.

The Broncos need a win to stay out of the basement cellar of the AFC West and their key matchups will need to show up big this Sunday.
