4. Tim Patrick

Before the season kicked off, Patrick was expected to serve as second-fiddle to Courtland Sutton while rookies Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler developed. With the injury to Sutton in week 2, both Patrick and Jeudy were thrust into bigger roles, and Patrick has emerged as a go-to-guy for Drew Lock.

Patrick leads the Broncos in receiving yards and is second on the team in receptions behind Noah Fant. He has shown that he can handle an increased workload as a legitimate target in today’s NFL.

To go with his massive 6’4″ frame, Patrick has excellent ball skills to track the ball downfield and box out defenders at the catch point. Patrick also has sneaky athleticism, with his after-the-catch ability and top-end speed.

Patrick has found his role with the Broncos, and will certainly capitalize on his big year in free agency. Whether he moves on to a receiver-needy team to take on a full-time role or stays with the Denver Broncos, Patrick has established that he is a true weapon in the NFL, and should be considered such.
