If Kamara is the spark that ignites the Saints’ offense, Michael Thomas is the engine that keeps it humming.

Thomas is one of the league’s best receivers, and has elite route-running ability, and can separate from the elite corners in the NFL. Both A.J. Bouye and Bryce Callahan will have their hands full while covering Michael Thomas.

While he is known more as an underneath threat, Thomas has the skillset to play down the field, or in the intermediate game. The Saints rely on Thomas as a consistent chain-mover and safety blanket in their offense, but Vic Fangio must respect Thomas’s ability to break free.

To go with his smooth route-running, Michael Thomas has elite hands and rarely lets a ball hit the turf. Thomas makes the incredible catches look routine, and he has excellent after-the-catch ability to turn the short targets into big gains.

The Broncos may have to commit extra defenders to deter quarterback Taysom Hill from throwing to Michael Thomas. This would leave the Broncos exposed on the back end, but Thomas is an elite player, and it has to be a priority to slow him down.

Michael Thomas has the ability to destroy the Broncos’ secondary. However, taking Thomas out of the equation would be a huge step towards a Denver Broncos’ upset win.
