Where are the Denver Broncos in week nine power rankings?

ESPN (Last week: 23rd; This week: 22nd): Jeff Legwold of ESPN notes that the presence of running back Phillip Lindsay has been much more important to the Broncos than their new free agent acquisition of Melvin Gordon, and he’s right. The Broncos have gotten much more of a spark out of Lindsay than Gordon at this point. With a pending suspension of Gordon looming, that should continue.

Dan Hanzus of NFL.com (Last week: 23rd; This week: 18th): Drew Lock led the Broncos to a comeback victory over the Los Angeles Chargers last week. In the fourth quarter, he went 14-of-18 for 155 yards and three touchdowns. How could you not be impressed?

Hanzus seems quite impressed by Lock’s performance. Maybe he will continue on this trajectory and be able to dance without criticism.

CBS Sports (Last week: 23rd; This week: 21st): CBS Sports’ thoughts? Maybe the Broncos’ victory over the Chargers last week was the key to getting onto a hot streak.

Pro Football Talk (Last week: 23rd; This week: 18th): The Broncos pulled off a phenomenal comeback that caused Mike Florio to take a trip down memory lane with Tim Tebow’s famous comeback in the playoffs against the Steelers many years ago.

Sporting News (Last week: 22nd; This week: 20th): Sporting News notes that besides Courtland Sutton, the Broncos are “finally playing their best skill players.”  They must be referring to offensive weapons since Von Miller is a very skillful player. Also, everybody appears to be hoping that Drew Lock can continue on the right path following his great fourth quarter last week.

FanSided (Last week: 25th; This week: 25th): FanSided’s point regarding Denver’s placement is that even though the team came back from a large deficit, they still found themselves in a difficult situation against the Chargers.
