Garett Bolles, OT

Some of the best news for the Denver Broncos in 2020 is the positive development of left tackle Garett Bolles.

Bolles was a first-round pick in 2017 by the Broncos and many had already written him off as a bust of a pick. Fans clamored all offseason for the Broncos to draft Bolles’ replacement as he struggled with bad technique and a boatload of penalties through three NFL seasons.

In year two with Mike Munchak as his offensive line coach, Bolles has emerged as frankly one of the best left tackles in the NFL.

Against the Chargers, he was dinged for a couple of penalties, but Bolles has played clean football for the most part and genuinely looks to have made lasting improvements.

Since the Broncos declined his fifth-year option, Bolles is also slated for free agency after the 2020 season. He could be headed toward the franchise tag if the Broncos can’t get him signed to a long-term deal.

Bolles’ breakout in 2020 has been a long time coming, but it looks as though he’s truly turned a corner.
