3. The Denver Broncos’ young playmakers stepped up

For the first six games of the season, we have seen individual flashes from Denver’s young playmakers. Against the Chargers, it all culminated into a potent offense.

Drew Lock relied on his connection with DaeSean Hamilton in the second half on Sunday, as the two hooked up for 82 yards and a touchdown on four catches.

Jerry Jeudy also made some impressive catches and showed his ability after the catch. Jeudy finished the day with 73 yards on four catches.

Noah Fant continued his role as Lock’s “safety-blanket”, finishing with seven catches for 47 yards. Fant’s running mate, Albert Okwuegbunam caught a crucial touchdown in the fourth quarter to bring the Broncos within one score of the Chargers.

Of course, we all remember K.J. Hamler’s last-second grab to win the game for the Denver Broncos. Hamler finished with thirteen yards off of three catches, including the go-ahead touchdown to seal the game for the Broncos.

Phillip Lindsay sparked the offense in the second half with his huge rushing touchdown, but his energy proved to be just what the Broncos’ offense needed to execute the comeback against the Chargers.

It all came together for the Broncos’ young stars on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth quarter. The Broncos must use the momentum gained from the comeback win on Sunday to start strong in Atlanta against the Falcons.

If the Broncos’ comeback win over the Chargers tells us anything, it’s that the Broncos offense might be finally starting to click.
