Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller said that he expects to return to the field at some point in 2020.

The initial word on the severity of Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller’s injury didn’t come out positive. The leg injury he suffered in practice was expected to knock him out for the entire 2020 season.

Miller isn’t having any of that.

He told the team that he expects to return to the field in 2020.

Three months would mean that Miller would return around Week 12 or 13. At that point, the Broncos will have an idea of whether or not they are in contention to make the playoffs.

If they are not, then the smart move is to keep Miller on the sidelines. But if they are one or even two games behind and not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, maybe it would be a wise idea to get Miller on the field.

We have seen Miller’s work ethic every single day. He works his tail off to be the best version of himself that he can be. I mean, have you seen those workout photos?

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to be the AFC West winners. There’s not really a debate there. The best chance, at least right now, for the Broncos to make the playoffs is if they can get a Wild Card spot.

We won’t quite know the identities of some teams for a couple of weeks, so it is hard to predict whether or not the Broncos will actually make it to the postseason.

There is no doubt that the Broncos and fans want Miller to get back on the field as soon as possible. After Bradley Chubb’s torn ACL in 2019, we have been deprived of seeing the two masterminds at work on the Broncos’ defense. Miller shouldn’t necessarily rush to get back on the field, but hopefully, we see him sooner than later.
