Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is listed as questionable for their Week 1 matchup vs the Titans.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is the latest player on the team to suffer an injury, and by the looks of it, it could have been much more severe.

However, Sutton has been listed as questionable with an injury to his AC joint in his shoulder. He suffered the injury in practice on Thursday.

When outside linebacker Von Miller went down with a likely season-ending injury this week, it was a huge blow to the team’s defense, which lost Bradley Chubb last year to a torn ACL and will continue to monitor Chubb’s situation.

Losing Sutton for any extended period of time would be such a big loss to a young offense that would rely on Tim Patrick and rookie first-round pick Jerry Jeudy to catch passes from second-year quarterback Drew Lock.

When news broke that Sutton went down with the injury, every Broncos fan was holding their breath. What else could have gone wrong?

Let’s actually not go there.

While the Broncos did go out and get several wide receivers to help out Lock, second-round pick K.J. Hamler is also dealing with an injury (hamstring), which is a very bad injury to have as a wide receiver as it could be aggravated at any point.

Without preseason, it may take the young offense more time to get going. If Sutton is out, that progress will be stalled. It would likely give Jeudy significantly more snaps, which really would be a good thing, although you would not want to wear him out early on.

Also at the wide receiver position for the Broncos are rookie Tyrie Cleveland, Diontae Spencer (returner), and DaeSean Hamilton.
