Running Back

Keep: Phillip Lindsay, Melvin Gordon, Royce Freeman, Andrew Beck (FB/TE) (4, 9/53)

Cut: LeVante Bellamy, Jeremy Cox

I think it’s important to point out that the Denver Broncos’ official roster lists Andrew Beck as a FB/TE, and in that order.

It could mean absolutely nothing, it could just be alphabetical, or it could be that the team views him as a fullback first, tight end second.

If the latter is the case, then Beck’s roster status should not be in jeopardy as really the only fullback on the team. Jeremy Cox, who has been listed as a fullback by some outlets and has gotten a little bit of work there from the Broncos, is more of a running back than a fullback.

I think the Broncos will do everything they can to get LeVante Bellamy on the practice squad, and they could look to add yet another running back to the practice squad with the expanded practice squad numbers.

Unless some team makes Denver an offer they can’t refuse for Royce Freeman, I think the top three here are set and classifying Beck as a fullback first allows you to keep four (other) tight ends on the roster.
