4. Jerry Jeudy, WR

The spotlight for the majority of the early goings at Denver Broncos training camp has been on rookie wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, and for good reason.

I maintain that Jeudy is the most high-profile player to be drafted to the Denver Broncos in John Elway’s tenure, even with two former top-five picks in Von Miller and Bradley Chubb on the roster.

Jeudy has been a coveted, five-star everything since he was in ninth grade, when Broncos WRs coach Zach Azzanni initially recruited him (when he was coaching the Tennessee Volunteers).

Jeudy is also the first player the Broncos have drafted in Elway’s tenure from Alabama, and coming out of school as the Biletnikoff Award winner in 2018 and All-American, All-SEC, best route runner Todd McShay has ever seen — it’s safe to say he’s at least on a very short list of the highest-profile athletes to come to Denver.

It would have been pretty easy for a rookie to come in and not live up to lofty expectations, but Jeudy has found a way to exceed them.

Even though it’s difficult for rookie wide receivers to transition from college to the pros and Jeudy has things he can certainly be working on, it’s tremendous to see him making such a significant early impact at camp.
