Deacon Moss (The Longest Yard)

Played by Michael Irvin

By: Shelby Manning

Although the Denver Broncos look to be set with a young receiving corps of Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, K.J Hamler, and guys like DaeSean Hamilton and Tim Patrick, it would never hurt to bring in veteran talent to give guidance and bolster the position.

Enter Deacon Moss.

Moss is one of the oldest guys on the team but doesn’t really play like it.

Add his attitude and he makes for a good addition. He played for a team called the “Mean Machine” and considering Moss, the title is appropriate.

When considering Deacon Moss, it also would be impossible to ignore that he was portrayed by a real-life Hall of Fame wide receiver, Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin.
