Denver Broncos: Top 5 value players by contract
Wide receiver Courtland Sutton
($1,865,981; Rookie contract – Round 2)
Talk about having one of the top youngest wide receivers in the entire league. Courtland Sutton has established himself as the clear No. 1 receiver for the Broncos following the departure of Emmanuel Sanders (and Demaryius Thomas before that).
Sutton has done exceptionally well for the Broncos since becoming a second-round pick in 2018. He has caught 114-of-208 targets for 1,816 yards and 10 touchdowns in two years. He has also been on the receiving end of 80 first downs.
Just 24-years old, Sutton made his first Pro Bowl in 2019 after eclipsing 1,100 receiving yards, and 400 more than he had as a rookie.
He likely would not be on this list had he been a first-round pick—as he would have been paid more than his actual rookie contract pays him.
The talent is there and he has shown some amazing things for the Broncos. It is incredible how cheap the team has him for right now.
