A way-too-early look at the 2021 NFL Draft for the Denver Broncos.

The Denver Broncos haven’t even gotten the chance to see their 2020 NFL Draft class on the field for a minicamp yet, but we’re going to get crazy and look ahead to the 2021 NFL Draft.

It’s never too early, right?

Okay, for some, it’s too early. That’s okay.

If you love the NFL Draft and team building, however, this exercise is for you. If you want to get even just a little bit of knowledge about next year’s rookie class, this post is for you.

2021 NFL Draft needs for the Broncos

At this point, it’s tough to say what the Broncos’ top needs for the 2021 NFL Draft or 2021 offseason will be, but we can make educated guesses.

With some expiring contracts and areas of current weakness on the team, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to say that linebacker, left tackle, cornerback, and possibly safety will be on the team’s priority list going into the 2021 offseason.

As you may notice, the majority of those needs are on the defensive side of the ball with the expiring contract of Todd Davis, the club option for Kareem Jackson, and the unknown at the cornerback position with Bryce Callahan coming off of injury and a bunch of young, mostly unproven guys on the roster besides AJ Bouye.

Left tackle Garett Bolles is also entering a contract year with the Broncos and at this point, it seems unlikely he will be retained barring a major bounce-back 2020 campaign.

Thanks to NFL mock draft simulators, we can dream about future Broncos anytime. The Broncos are currently projected to have the 10th overall pick in the simulators, so for the time being, we’re going to roll with it.

Using those pick slots, which players would make sense for the Broncos at positions of perceived future need?

Let’s take a look at three rounds of future mock draft mayhem.
