Denver Broncos rookie defensive lineman McTelvin Agim took advice from Troy Polamalu to heart.

The Denver Broncos selected defensive lineman McTelvin Agim in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft less than two months ago. Agim has already gotten some awesome advice from a player who left it all on the field during his career in the league.

That advice was given to Agim by former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, who was able to speak to the Broncos’ rookies via Zoom.

With the status of training camps in question as of right now, there may be extra time for film studying. For Agim to watch every single defensive snap in an entire season is remarkable. It really shows that he wants to be the best player he can be.

As of right now, Agim is not starting. Newly-acquired Jurrell Casey will start for the Broncos along with Mike Purcell and Shelby Harris, but Agim will likely play a good amount during his rookie year due to different packages.

It is really good to see Agim taking initiative and doing his part in preparing. You just never know when it is your time to get on the field. You need to be prepared for whatever happens.

I am loving the amount of support the Broncos rookies are getting. Unlike some people, I really think that people should be on the hype train alongside the Broncos in 2020. Denver could have a really fun football team this season, and Agim could play a nice role on the defense.

More former Broncos should help team’s rookies

I would be very interested to see some more of the Broncos’ former players help out the team’s current squad of rookies. A guy like Trevor Pryce, Terrance Knighton, or Alfred Williams are guys who come to mind that could provide Agim with some good pointers heading into his rookie season.

We already saw former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer provide advice for Drew Lock. More former players should continue this trend going forward.

The future is bright for the Broncos. Agim is taking advantage of resources.
