The summer months are here and soon, NFL teams will be hitting their training camp facilities to begin preparations for the 2020 season.

Though the league has decided to cancel any joint practices between teams that were pre-arranged for this summer, it does seem as though training camps will go forward at the time and the place as they would normally be held.

Training camp is often seen as tedious and even boring by some, but that is where each season starts in terms of a team coming together. That is where the coaching staff gets a look at all 90 players on the roster and starts to formulate a plan on how the final roster will look.

There are players who are locks to make the roster and can in other words just skate through camp. Players such as Von Miller, Drew Lock and Courtland Sutton fit this bill. But where things are always interesting is those final few roster spots that generally come down to a decision between a long-term veteran and a rookie or unknown player.

For the Denver Broncos, a few long-term veterans are going to come to training camp at Dove Valley and be placed on the roster bubble almost immediately. These players are going to have to have a strong showing in training camp in order to prove they still belong.

In many cases, these older players will have to show the hunger to fend off the young lions looking to take their spot on the team. For the Broncos, these four players will be in that boat this summer.

And for the sake of clarity, any player who is not a rookie was considered a veteran for the purposes of this article.
