Shelby Harris

2019 Stats: 28 solo tackles, 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble

2019 Grade: A

Shelby Harris has only improved with age and has made himself a very wanted man on the free agent market. Harris had a dominant 2019 on the Broncos defensive line, and was the difference maker in the Broncos finishing 2nd or 3rd in the AFC West.

In the Broncos’ season finale, Harris was the hero when he batted down Derek Carr’s two-point conversion attempt to take the lead and sent his former team in the Oakland Raiders home with a loss and in 3rd place. Harris was a huge part of the Broncos’ defensive turnaround, and quickly became a fan favorite over the past two seasons. At one point, Harris led all defensive linemen in batted down passes.

At the beginning of the offseason, Harris hired agent Drew Rosenhaus. It is clear that Harris is looking to make big bucks, and there is not much hope among Broncos Country that Shelby Harris will return to Denver in 2020.

Harris would make a big contribution to any NFL roster, and would be very missed. However, if the 2019 season was his last as a Bronco, it sure was a good one.
