Adam Gotsis

2019 Stats: 11 solo tackles, 0 sacks, 0 forced fumbles

2019 Grade: D

Adam Gotsis, once a huge part of the Denver Broncos’ defensive line, had a very disappointing 2019 season. Finishing the season with zero sacks, Gotsis had a very forgettable season in 2019 and was eventually benched as a healthy scratch for a few weeks by Coach Fangio.

Gotsis would show a better performance later on in the season, but his season would end early with a knee injury that put him on Injured Reserve and sidelined him for the rest of the season. Gotsis’ knee was operated on in December 2019.

While this means that Gotsis could be healthy in 2020, his poor performance to start the season and his injury came at a very inopportune time — when he was playing for a new contract.

With all of the other in-house free agents the Denver Broncos have to focus on, it is unlikely that Gotsis will be a member of the Broncos in 2020. It is unfortunate that if this was his last season being a part of Denver’s defensive line, it was not a memorable one.
