Tackle Ja’Wuan James

Last offseason, the Denver Broncos made Ja’Wuan James the highest-paid right tackle in the National Football League.

Unfortunately, James played in just three games in 2019 for Denver due to injuries, which started right off the bat in week one.

The Denver Broncos have struggled at finding a long-term answer at the right tackle position and felt that James was the answer. Let me tell you — he may still be the guy. It could have just been a lot of bad luck in one year.

James has two years left on his contract with the option for the Broncos to move on from him in 2021. The team also holds the option of cutting him or keeping him in 2022. After that, in 2023, he is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.

I am hoping that James is able to stay healthy for the entire 2020 season and beyond. It will be great to see how he does with Mike Munchak coaching him and his offensive line teammates.
