Fourth round (second pick)

Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 305 pounds
Class: Senior

Another team captain and four-year starter — qualities the Broncos highly value — Shackelford is a center who could probably play all three interior line spots.

We’re not trying to assume the Broncos are going to have to replace all three interior spots in this mock draft, nor is it likely a late-fourth round player like this would come in and start right away as a rookie, but Shackelford is probably capable.

This guy is experienced in making the calls up front for Texas and his game experience in college will be a highly attractive piece of his resumé for NFL executives.

Although he needs to add more play strength, Shackelford profiles as a solid starting center in the NFL and if the Broncos lose Connor McGovern, this guy could be an option from the college ranks to replace him.
