As the regular season gets closer, the Denver Broncos are looking to return to the postseason. One writer believes that the playoff drought ends.

Ever since the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50, the team has not reached the postseason since. 20-28 in the last three seasons is not a formula for a playoff team. The team is hopeful that their fortunes can be turned around with the pass rushing duo of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb and veteran quarterback Joe Flacco.

There is some promise from the Denver Broncos side. But for some reason not everyone is believing that the team can bounce back from two disappointing seasons. In fact, a lot believe that they will be worse than in the past.

It would be such a shame to see the Broncos miss the postseason for the fourth year in a row. But one writer boldly predicted Denver would see their drought come to an end.

According to Patrik Walker from CBS Sports, he set five bold predictions for the Denver Broncos in 2019. His final prediction is that they would make the playoffs as one of the two AFC wild card teams in 2019. He believes a lot has to go right in order to make that a reality.

In turn, the points he makes in the article will have a huge impact in that decision. He also believes that if things do not turn around in the Melvin Gordon saga, it could really help Denver’s chances.

It will be really difficult for the Broncos to be able to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers for the division. The Andrew Luck retirement could certainly open the doors for the Denver Broncos to make the playoffs.

Anything can happen in the NFL world. But this is one prediction that Broncos Country would love to see happen this season.
