After a long week to rest, the Denver Broncos hit the road towards Indianapolis to take on Andrew Luck and the Colts in a Week Eight battle.

By now, the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts have really had the chance to know each other over the last few seasons. Peyton Manning played for both organizations and both teams have been involved in some intense games over the years.

In Week eight of the 2019 season, the Denver Broncos will travel to Indianapolis for their third meeting with an AFC South opponent in five weeks. Andrew Luck and the Colts will be waiting to get a win at the halfway mark of the 2019 campaign.

In the last meeting, Brock Osweiler took over for an injured Trevor Siemian and led the Broncos to a 25-13 victory on a Thursday Night in Indianapolis. It would mark the only road win for Denver that season.

Denver has won the last two meetings against the Colts to take the lead in the all time series 14-13. They have outscored the Colts 59-33 in those two games. However, they are not an easy team to win against, especially at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The Indianapolis Colts will look to build off their success last season. The team secured a playoff birth on the final day of the regular season. They got a win on the road on Wild Card weekend, but were stopped by the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round.

The Colts biggest offseason moves came from the NFL Draft. The team had ten picks in this year’s draft. The team focused on the defensive side of the football, using seven of their picks on defensive players.

The team did acquire some free agents, signing Devin Funchess and Justin Houston. They also have the former Denver Broncos Mr. Irrelevant quarterback Chad Kelly.

How much has Indianapolis improved over the offseason? We will know for sure on October 27th.
