Nose Tackle

It’s a good year to need interior defensive linemen.

Whether you prefer the free agent route or the NFL Draft, teams are going to have their pick of some really talented defensive tackles this offseason with all different shapes and sizes.

The Broncos have three prominent free agents of their own, including Domata Peko, Zach Kerr, and Shelby Harris. Harris is a restricted free agent, so the Broncos will be able to retain him for under $3 million unless another team wants to sacrifice a high draft pick and sign him to an offer sheet.

Peko and Kerr may not be retained under this new regime, and there has already been a report that the Broncos will pursue free agent Johnathan Hankins.

We also took a look at five underrated names on the market.

There are some big names on the market as well, like Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who played over the nose quite a bit for Wade Phillips this past year.

The idea of adding Suh, even into his 30s, is an attractive one but at what cost? Watching Suh in Vic Fangio’s defense with Bill Kollar coaching him up and Von Miller, Derek Wolfe, Bradley Chubb, and others around him would be absolutely stellar.

Maybe the Broncos will think so, too.
