The Oakland Raiders visit the Los Angeles Chargers in week five. Oakland is pretty banged up in terms of injuries, with running back Marshawn Lynch and wide receiver Amari Cooper the most noticeable names on their injury report. Those key players were limited in practice on Friday, which is better news than it could have been.

The Chargers will be without a couple of key players. Defensive end Joey Bosa will be out again, as will wide receiver Travis Benjamin and linebacker Kyzir White.

Even without the injuries to the Oakland Raiders, I still strongly believe that the Chargers are a far better team.

Oakland put up 45 points against the Cleveland Browns last week. They also gave up 42 points to a team that didn’t win a game in 2017. It’s crazy how fast things change in the NFL.

The Chargers offensive weapons are going to do very well on Sunday  and send the Raiders back to Oakland with a loss.

This week the LA Chargers will be hosting the Oakland Raiders in the Stub Hub center. The Chargers have a decent 2-2 start while Oakland sits at the bottom of the AFC West at 1-3.

The Chargers need to come out firing and set the tone early. LA tends to let points slip towards the end of the games, and you never want to let Derek Carr have the ball with a chance to win late.

This game will almost certainly come down to the play of the quarterbacks. Philip Rivers has been playing outstanding this year, throwing up big numbers, and I don’t expect that to be any different this week.

The Raiders have struggled to put up consistent points, and their defense tends to disappear randomly throughout the game. I’ll take the Chargers in this one.
